A Unique Ontario Moonshine Recipe
We started with a traditionally un-aged Canadian whisky moonshine recipe from Eastern Ontario - a trusted method for over 100 years.
Reunion has quickly become a creative lab for our Ontario craft distillery, experimenting with Ontario ingredients and creating some of Canada’s best moonshine flavours. In 2017, we perfected our Ontario Butter Tart Moonshine recipe. It was inspired by Ontario's Best Butter Tart Festival in Midland, ON.
This event is the world’s largest butter tart festival. It features over 150,000 Canadian butter tarts. The response to our new moonshine flavour from our local supporters was overwhelmingly positive, so now it's a permanent addition to our lineup.

Mrs. Garrett’s Delicious Ontario Butter Tarts
We’ve partnered with Mrs. Garrett’s Bake Shop, a family-owned bakery in Inverary, Ontario, known for its authentic take on this Canadian delicacy. Their scrumptious Canadian butter tarts are featured in our
Butter Tart Moonshine Box.
This Ontario bakery has withstood the test of time, with three core members of a small but mighty team who have been present since day one.
When we asked Mrs. Garrett’s daughter if the bakery would be around for another 37 years, her response was a swift yes, with "plans for the grandchildren to continue the Canadian baking tradition".
Everything in this little shop in South Frontenac Township, Ontario, is made daily by hand, with love!
