About This Unique Ontario Moonshine Recipe
We started with a traditionally un-aged Canadian whisky moonshine recipe from Eastern Ontario - a trusted method for over 100 years.
Reunion has quickly become a creative lab for our Ontario craft distillery, experimenting with Ontario ingredients and creating some of Canada’s best moonshine flavours. In 2017, we perfected our Ontario Butter Tart Moonshine recipe. It was inspired by Ontario's Best Butter Tart Festival in Midland, ON.
This event is the world’s largest butter tart festival. It features over 150,000 Canadian butter tarts. The response to our new moonshine flavour from our local supporters was overwhelmingly positive, so now it's a permanent addition to our lineup.

Mrs. Garrett’s Delicious Ontario Butter Tarts
We’ve partnered with Mrs. Garrett’s Bake Shop, a family-owned bakery in Inverary, Ontario, known for its authentic take on Canadian butter tarts.
This 37-year-old Ontario bakery has withstood the test of time, with three core members of a small but mighty team who have been present since day one.
When we asked Mrs. Garrett’s daughter if the bakery would be around for another 37 years, her response was a swift yes. With "plans for the grandchildren to continue the Canadian baking tradition".
Everything in this little shop in South Frontenac Township, Ontario, is made daily by hand, with love!

I couldn't help myself, I had to try both of the bottles of shine one was the Reunion Butter Tart and the other one was the Reunion 100 proof Moonshine. I am beyond impressed. And the Butter Tart Moonshine I put into my coffee and I am blown away. Will definitely be ordering again.

CanadaNot so good this time, as the butter tarts showed up terribly over baked and burnt tasting. My first order was so good that I was raving to my friends and family, they were delicious and the moonshine was delightful. Unfortunately, this last experience was not the same. I was disappointed.
CanadaDelicious beverage but for my taste it is too sweet for more than a couple shots. Then again butter tarts themselves are sweet, so this is accurate to the overall flavour.
