Calabrese Caesar

Featuring our classic gin, with a spicy kick. The beloved Caesar cocktail is Canada's national cocktail. Typically made with a Vodka base, it's not uncommon to see variations made with gin or even tequila. This spicy combination with a base of Gin promises to kick things up a notch. 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Top Shelf Gin
  • ½ oz Lime Juice
  • 5 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 Jalapeno slices
  • Locally Sourced Hot Sauce (To Taste)
  • Coarse Salt (Rim)
  • Pepper (Rim)
  • Singers Caesar mix

 

Garnish:

  • Celery Stalk
  • Lime Wedge
  • Basil 
  • Mozzarella Balls
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Balsamic Reduction (optional)

 

Glassware:

  • Collins Glass

Directions:

Pour some coarse salt and pepper onto a plate. Cut a lime in half and rub the lime flesh on the rim of the glass to coat with a bit of juice. Rub the wet rim onto the coarse salt and pepper to coat the rim. Add gin and 3 thin slices of jalapeno and gently muddle. Fill the Collins glass with ice. Add lime juice, worcestershire and hot sauce to the iced Collins glass. Top with Singers caesar mix. With a pick, skewer cherry tomatoes, basil and mozzarella. Drizzle a bit of balsamic reduction over skewer (optional). Gently stir the Caesar and garnish with a lime wedge, celery stalk and calabrese skewer. Crack a bit of fresh pepper over the finished cocktail.
