BE WILD!

As the warm breath of spring rolls in and our surroundings start to melt, there is a sweet smell in the air, not just from fresh maple syrup, but a feeling of new life and a fresh start!

Quickly our hibernating selves start to awaken and head to our sheds and garages to grab rakes, shovels, birdseed, flower bulbs and soil prepping our gardens and outside spaces to harbour our future social lives and to bring us joy for the coming months.

The grass gets greener and we look forward to the beautification of our lawns and the meditation and peace while mowing, but wait!!

There are little creatures and vegetation still waking up, too! One of our biggest nuisances and is also a necessary pollinator - The Dandelion. Honeybees and wild pollinators need these little yellow blossoms and other wildflowers to find shelter and food, so they don’t starve before the summer even starts.

#NoMowMay is a challenge to put down the RoundUp, let the mower rest one more month and allow for Mother Nature to do the work first.
