Honey Syrup

 


Honey adds a nice touch to gin, vodka, and whisky based cocktails. Beautiful earthy flavours with a slight floral aspect to it. Unfortunately, honey by itself will seize up when chilled, making it difficult to mix into cold cocktails in its raw form. Honey syrup is the perfect way ensure the honey blends harmoniously with the rest of your ingredients. The recipe is simple. One part water to two parts honey.


INGREDIENTS

  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup honey

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add honey and water to a saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Mix completely.
  3. Let cool at room temperature.
  4. Keep in an airtight container (glass works best).
  5. Refrigerate.
